Federer Ends Novak Djokovic's Marathon Run

Former World No.1 and 16 time Grandslam winner Roger Federer puts an end to the Djokovic's unbeaten marathon run in 2011 at the semi final of French Open tennis. By ending up in the losing side Novak failed to overcome the record of John McEnroe, who hold the record of 42 consecutive victories to start a season.   Roger Federer defeated this year's Australian Open Grandslam winner Novak Djokovic in a Four set thriller 7-6, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6.  Now Roger Federer will face Five time French Open Champion Rafa Nadal in the final on Sunday at Roland Garros.  Earlier, Nadal defeated fourth seed Andy Murray in straight sets and enter into his sixth final at Roland Garros. 

Justine Henin Says Adieu

Former World. No.1 Women tennis player Justine Henin has announced her retirement from Professional Tennis after Elbow injury forced her to make up her mind to quit from the game.  Earlier in 2008 she said adieu to the tennis when she was ranked No.1 in the world.  She came back to the tennis arena and played some good tennis again.  But this time she expressed "I have undergone several tests the past few days, confirming that my elbow has damaged even further."  

Justine Henin won seven Grand Slam titles including Four Roland Garros titles, two U.S. Open titles, one Australian Open.  She also reached Wimbledon final twice and failed to capture the Grass Court Grand Slam title.   She is one of the greatest player of all time in the history of women tennis.  Her one handed powerful back hand is her trade mark shot.  All the best Justine Henin for her rest of the life. 

Roger Federer into the Fourth Round of Australian Open 2011

Roger Federer enter into the Fourth round of the Australian Open 2011 after he defeated Xavier Malisse in Straight sets 6-3, 6-3, 6-1.  The World No.2 and current champion in Australian Open looks so comfortable and won the match so convincingly.  The 30 Year old Xavier Mallisse almost gave up hope in the final sets and but enjoyed his time in the court with great support from the audience.  This 9th match between Roger Federer and Malisse in 13 years and Roger Federer won 8 out of 9 times.  His only lose against Mallise was way back in 1998 when he was a growing kid in tennis.  Now, Federer will face the winner of the match between Tommy Roberdo and Sergiy Stakhovsky.
