Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty will be on the look-out for a new Bollywood starlet at the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament in South Africa.
The A-list performers, who all own stakes in IPL franchises, announced that one lucky South African woman with "star quality" will be offered a role in a Bollywood movie, 50,000 rands in cash, a business class trip to India and other prizes in the 2009 tournaments Miss Bollywood SA competition.
IPL chairman and commissioner Lalit Modi said: "We're looking for someone who has the star quality to stand out in a crowd, probably without even trying that hard. It's that special, almost indefinable, quality that makes someone a star more than a beauty queen that we are looking for."
A total of 50 winners will initially be chosen from matches across the country before the group is eventually whittled down to a single champion, to be announced at the IPL final on May 24.
